Wang Xiaoyi, chief expert on natural enemy insect and biological prevention and control from RIFEEP was invited to attend EPPO expert panel meeting in France from 2^nd to 9^th December.

During the meeting, Mr. Wang participated the discussion, review and modification of “Risk Assessment Report of Agrilusfleischeri and Agrilusfleischeri”, reported on “Occurrence and Management of Agrilusfleischeriin in China”, and elaborated on how Agrilusfleischeri spread in China currently and the efforts made by Chinese government in controlling its spreading, in order to mitigate the adverse effect on our economy by trade barriers possibly made by plant quarantine.

There were 8 experts, 1 official of EPPO Secretariat and 1 secretariat from the UK, France, the U.S., Russia, Portugal, China, Sweden and Azerbaijan attended the meeting.

During the stay in France, Wang Xiaoyi also visited Natural History Museum, inspecting specimen of flatheaded borer and taking pictures for documents. （Cao Liangming / Wang Xiaoyi）
