Seminar on Green Belt and Road Contributing to Enterprises Going Global Successfully Held in Beijing

On 16 Jun, Seminar on Green Belt and Road Contributing to Enterprises Going Global, hosted by Center for International Forest Products Trade of NFGA and WWF was held in Beijing. The seminar discussed China-Mozambique forestry cooperation on various fronts, development prospects on China’s responsible investment and trade in forestry and forest products, and win-win relations between China and Africa on sustainable development of investment and trade in forestry and provided beneficial reflections on the Belt and Road Initiate.

 

H. E Celso Correia, Minister of Land, Environment and Rural Development of Mozambique said that Mozambique is carrying forward the sustainable development strategy and looks forward to more Chinese responsible enterprises going to Mozambique for investment, so as to promote closer collaboration between Mozambique and China.

 

Mr. Fu Jianquan, Director for Foreign Investment, Department of Forestry Planning and Assets Management of NFGA said that bilateral cooperation is an important part of the connection between China’s “going global” strategy and the Belt and Road Initiative and Africa’s development strategy. It is the requirement of the strategic and structural adjustment and upgrading of China’s forestry economic development and the prerequisite of promoting African forestry development. The China-Mozambique cooperation in forestry will undoubtedly promote global sustainable forest management and advance China-Africa forest resources management.
