Prof. Pu Ruiliang made a presentation on How to Prepare an SCI Paper in English

Prof. Pu Ruiliang from School of Geosciences, University of South Florida, U.S., was invited to visit CAF for academic exchanges from 12th to 15th June. Prof. Pu Ruiliang is an internationally renowned scholar in remote sensing and geographic information system. His research areas include hyperspectral remote sensing data processing and analysis, remote sensing in forestry and ecological application, and extraction and mapping of coastal seagrass information. He is an editorial board member and reviewer of more than 20 world famous journals.

Prof. Pu focused on remote sensing technologies and their application, and gave a lecture on Hyperspectral Remote Sensing: Fundamentals & Practices and made presentations on Potential Assessment on Using Imagery from Multi-temporal High Resolution Satellite Pléiades in Urban Tree Species Mapping, and Remote Sensing Mapping Forest Leaf Area Index Using Reflectance and Textural Information in Research Institute of Forest Resource Information Techniques of CAF. Prof. Pu Ruiliang also made a presentation on How to Prepare an SCI Paper in English.

Prof. Pu’s lecture and presentations were well received by researchers and graduate students from Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Forestry University and CAF. The presentations broadened their horizon, facilitated academic discussions and exchanges, promoted peer understanding, and laid a solid foundation for future collaboration.
