On 3 Nov, Mr. Primo? Simon?i?, Director of Slovenian Forestry Institute, visited Chinese Academy of Forestry for exchanges, and signed an MOU on forest science cooperation with CAF. The MOU aims at promoting long-term and beneficial cooperation between the two institutions in the field of sustainable forest management, the role of forest in addressing climate change, biodiversity conservation and green economic growth in China-CEEC 16+1 cooperation framework. Mr. Zhang Shougong, President of CAF, and Mr. Primo? Simon?i?, Director of Slovenian Forestry Institute, signed the MOU on behalf of the two sides respectively.

Mrs. Andreja-Naraks, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Slovenian Embassy in China, and Mr. Janez Zafran, Head of Forestry Division, Slovenia Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, witnessed the signing ceremony. Mr. Xiao Wenfa, CAF Vice President, and Mr. Lu Wenming, Director of Division of International Cooperation, CAF were also present at the ceremony.
