Professor Christopher Baraloto, Professor Jennifer Richards and assistant professor Hong Liu from International Center of Tropical Botany (ICTB), Florida International University, together with assistant professor Uromi Goodale and Mr. Luo Yinghua from Guangxi University, visited the Experimental Center of Tropical Forestry (ECTF) on 8^th May, 2015.

A meeting was held to introduce the general background and the research fields and developments of ECTF, especially on plant diversity. Professor Christopher Baraloto also gave introduction on ICTB and presented their research interests, he said, ECTF had abundant resources of tropical plants; it is a great place to have good cooperation with ICTB regarding tropical plants. Both sides expressed their strong desire to cooperate, including the field of cooperation and exchange students and visitors, etc.

After the meeting, the visitors from ICTB visited the Rocky Arboretum, and exchanged academic ideas on plant growth, plant distribution, physiological and ecological mechanism of tropical plants with ECTF scientists on site.
