Notified by Professor Lennart SALMéN, President of International Academy of Wood Science (IAWS) on February 2nd 2014, research fellow FANG Guigan of Research Institute of Chemical Industry of Forest Products (RICIFP) has been elected as the fellow of IAWS, totaling the number of IAWS fellows in Chinese Academy of Forestry to eight.

Mr. Fang engages in the research and engineering development of high-yield pulping and high efficient effluent water treatment. He has accomplished a number of scientific and technology R&D achievements and become the acknowledged expert in papermaking in China. Concurrently, Mr. FANG assumes the post of deputy director of RICIFP and is the guest professor of Université Bordeaux1 Sciences et Technologie and other universities in China.
