Prof. Liu Shirong, Vice President of CAF, along with other counterpart scientists from CAF met with Dr. Jean-Michel Carnus, Coordinator of Division 8 of IUFRO and Director of Forest and Wood Research Site, Center of Bordeaux, French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA), who visited CAF on September 16th, 2013.

Both sides exchanged information about their own organizations respectively and CAF scientists presented the on-going research progress on forest genetics and tree breeding, forest pests and diseases control, climate change and land use, forest resources management, and wood science. Subsequently, both sides held discussions on research-related issues and explored the potential in applying joint research projects as well as extending the collaboration in graduate education.
