Prof. Bernie Dell, Research Director, Division of Research and Development, Murdoch University and Prof. Richard Harper, Alcoa Chair in Sustainable Water Management, Murdoch University visited CAF on September the 23th, 2013.

In the morning session, Prof. Liu Shirong, Vice President of CAF together with other CAF scientists on forest hrdrology, ecology and sustainable forest management met with the professors. Both sides informed each other with the latest research progress in the field of climate change and forestry, carbon sink, forestry policy and forest-related economics, and etc. Discussion was also held on the possible range for future collaborative researches and the according arrangement.

In the afternoon, Prof. Richard Harper presented a lecture entitled“Using Forests and Soils to Manage Carbon in Australia”to the researchers and the graduates of the Academy.
