Deputy Director Dr. Thomas from Forest Research Institute of Slovakia National Forest Center paid a visit to China Forestry Science Data Center (CFSDC) in Chinese Academy of Forestry in November 3rd 2013 together with his two collogues. They were briefed by the researchers about the CFSDC’s 8 categories of forestry science data, the platform operation and services. The guests also made introduction of the forest remote sensing platform and service in Slovakia. Both sides extensively discussed the construction and sharing of forest data resources and sought for bilateral cooperation. The visiting team toured the database computer server room at China Science & Technology Infrastructure Center (NSTI Centre). Additionally, they paid the visits to other institutions, i.e. Data Sharing Infrastructure of Earth System Science, the Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth (RADI), Chinese Academy of Sciences and National Satellite Meteorological Center
