Prof. Liu and Dr. Wheatly signed the agreement.

Prof. ZHANG Shougong, President of CAF met with Dr. Michele G. Wheatly, Provost and Vice President of West Virginia University (WVU), Dr. Robert Jones, Dean, College of Arts and Sciences and Prof. WANG Jingxin visited CAF on 5 July, 2012. Prof. Zhang warmly welcomed the visit of WVU and acknowledged the exchanges between CAF and WVU as well as the Prof. Wang’s contribution as a member of CAF’s international cooperation and innovation team.

A cooperation agreement was signed by Prof. LIU Shirong, Vice President and Dr. Wheatly for both organizations. As cited in the agreement, the cooperation will cover the sustainbale management of forest ecosystmes, global change and biomass-based energy. The WVU delegation visited the Research Institute of Forest Ecology, Environment and Protection after the meeting and held detailed discussion with the institute’s scientists.
