On November 18, 2010, new officeholders in Division 5 of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) were generated, of whom 4 are from the Chinese Academy of Forestry (CAF). Three of them serve as division deputy coordinator, and one as group deputy coordinator. It is quite encouraging to see so many scholars from CAF elected for the professional high posts in the international academic organization, which surely will facilitate the development of Chinese forest products via the high exchange platform, and expand internationally the impact of Chinese research on forest products. The officeholders are as follows:

• CHU Fuxiang, division deputy coordinator, 5.07.00, energy and chemicals from forest biomass;
• LU Jianxiong, division deputy coordinator, 5.01.00，wood quality;
• YIN Yafang, division deputy coordinator, 5.06.00, properties and utilization of plantation wood;
• ZHOU Yongdong, group deputy coordinator, 5.06.03, utilization of planted eucalpts
