Training Course on Bamboo Cultivation Technology in French-speaking African Countries Visited China Eucalyptus Research and Development Center

On 1st of September, students from the Training Course on Bamboo Cultivation Technology for French-speaking Countries in Africa visited southern national forest tree seedling demonstration base of the China Eucalypt Research and Development Center for an academic exchange. The deputy director Chen Shaoxiong, vice director of BSPU Zhang Peijian and other representatives received the students.

During the exchange, Zhang Peijian gave a detailed introduction to the southern seedling base, seedling cultivation and scientific research projects, and guided to visit the eucalyptus large-diameter timber forest, undergrowth cash crop and eucalyptus germplasm resource forest, which deepened African students' understanding of China's eucalyptus scientific research and industrial development and laid a foundation for further international cooperation and exchange.

The training course on cultivation technology for French-speaking African countries is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the Bamboo Research and Development Center of SFA. Its members include 21 forestry and university researchers from 7 countries, including Senegal, Central Africa, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo, Sao Tome and Principe, Guinea and Benin.
