In order to implement the “Coordination Mechanism for the Cooperation in Forestry Between China and CEEC” and promote China-CEEC forestry cooperation during the pandemic, on August 24th, the “China-CEEC Cooperation Progress and Trend Analysis” seminar was held online and offline simultaneously. Dr. Liu Zuokui, a researcher from the Institute of European Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, was invited to teach at the webinar. More than 60 researchers and managers from the CAF attended to the webinar. The seminar was hosted by researcher Lei Jingpin from the Research Institute of Forestry.
Chen Yujie, deputy director (acting deputy director) of the Division of International Cooperation, delivered a welcome speech and introduced the development history and results of CAF’s China-CEEC forestry cooperation; Lei Jingpin introduced the status of cooperation.
During the webinar, Liu Zuokui systematically introduced the concept of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries, the background of cooperation at the national level, the practical basis and development strategy. Liu focused on the impact of the development history of different cooperation periods and international relations on the cooperation potentials and prospects in forestry between China and Central and Eastern European countries. This seminar deepened the understanding of the China-CEEC cooperation and will act as a guidance for the future forestry cooperation projects between CAF and Central and Eastern European countries.
