On Dec 5th, the 14th Joint Seminar of China-Japan-Korea on Wood Quality and Utilization of Domestic Species was held in Seoul, Korea. Nearly 90 representatives from morethan 10 universities and scientific research institutions from China, Japan and South Korea attended the meeting. During the joint seminar, 3 keynote lectures and 19 oral presentations with 26 posters were presented.
Researcher Yin Yafang of the Research Institute of Wood Industry presided over one academic report branch. Yin gave two oral presentations, including one titled “Cell Wall Degradation and Characterization of Waterlogged Archaeological Wood in China”, and focused on the latest research results done by the Research Institute of Wood Industry of the CAF on the wood cell wall degradation mechanism of archaeological wood and the AI identification of wood species.
