Aug. 1988-June 1999: Assistant, Lecturer, Associate Professor of Forest Management, Fujian Forestry College, P. R. China.

June 1999-June 2001: Post-doctoral Fellow, the Institute of Forest Resource Information Techniques, Chinese Academy of Forestry, P. R. China. The research report entitled “Studies on the Framework of Criteria and Indicators for Sustainable Management of Natural Tropical Forests in Hainan Province”.

Since June 2001: Professor of Forest Management, the Institute of Forest Resource Information Techniques, Chinese Academy of Forestry, P. R. China.

Jan. 2003-May 2003: Visiting scholar sponsored by ITTO Fellowship Program, the Institute of Tropical Silviculture, Goettingen University, Germany. The technical document entitled “Key Techniques of Continuous Cover Forestry and Their Possible Applications in Tropical Forest Management in China”.

Oct. 2004-Dec. 2005: Vice Director of Forestry Bureau of Tibet Autonomous Region.

Awards:

“Studies on sustainable management techniques for natural broad-leaved forest in the mid-subtropical zone of Fujian province” was awarded the third-class prize of Scientific and Technical Advance of Fujian Province in 2000.

“Studies on short-rotation broad-leaved forest in Northern Fujian Province” was awarded the third-class prize of Scientific and Technical Advance of State Forestry Administration in 1999.

Gainer of the Governmental Special Allowance provided by the State Council of P. R. China in 2000.

Gainer of the Seventh-term Forestry Scientific and Technical Award for Young Scientists in China in 2003.
