Professor He Guiping, male, was born in October 1962, in Huangpi Region of Wuhan city, Hubei Province, China.
In July 1984, he graduated from Nanjing Forestry University and worked in Research Institute of Subtropical Forestry, CAF.
He mainly engaged in research on Tree genetics, breeding and cultivation. He has long time been engaged in Chinese fir, and Casuarina equisetifolia, and hardwood species breeding work.
He presided over of " High generation breeding groups established and quality fast-growing new varieties breeding of Chinese fir " and " Series research for clones breeding supporting technology of Chinese fir ", the results were awarded by Zhejiang Province Scientific and Technological Award (the third level) in 2012, and Fujian Province Scientific and Technological Award in 1998 (the third level, the second author), respectively.
He also presided over (Co-PI) the project of " Main hardwood species of Zhejiang Province excellent tree select and the species real high-yield supporting technology research", which was awarede by Zhejiang Province Scientific and Technological Award in 2007(the second level, the 4 th author). He was involved in the study on " Ormosia hosiei Hemsl, Schima Reinw superbaGardn etc. and 6 kinds of rare tree species such as wood varieties breeding and cultivation techniques for efficient " and awarded by Zhejiang Province Scientific and Technological Award in 2012 (the second level, the 4th author) , respectively.
He published more than 40 papers and a book of Chinese fir breeding and genetics. He also authorized five cultivars of Chinese fir , and one cultivar of Casuarina equisetifolia . He presided an provincial standards on “Technical regulation of cultivation for Nanmu ”.
