On 25 Apr, the 2018 Training Course on Bamboo Technologies for the Belt and Road Countries, hosted by Ministry of Commerce, and organized by China National Bamboo Research Center (CNBRC), was opened in Hangzhou. 25 participants from 9 developing countries attended the training course. Mr. Zhong Zheke, Deputy Director General and research fellow of CNBRC, addressed the opening ceremony. Ms. Atcharaporn Daisai, official from the Regional Community Forestry Training Center for Asia and the Pacific (RECOFTC) of Thailand, spoke on behalf of all participants. The opening ceremony was hosted by Mr. Ding Xingcui, Director for international cooperation and science and technologies and research fellow of CNBRC.
On behalf of CNBRC, Zhong Zheke extended his warm welcome to all participants from afar. He introduced CNBRC and its international cooperation. He expected the participants to use the training course as a platform to build friendship, facilitate exchanges and work for development, in order to promote win-win cooperation in the bamboo and forest industry in countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
Ms. Atcharaporn Daisai thanked the Chinese government and CNBRC for this opportunity on behalf of all participants. She also expressed her determination to dedicate to bamboo industry development, and contribute to China-Thailand friendly cooperation and development.
