From 23 to 25 May, the Training Course on International Forestry Economy and Commerce Cooperation for the Belt and Road Countries, co-hosted by Department of Development Planning and Assets Management and Research Center for International Trade on Forest Products, State Forestry and Grassland Administration, and Council for International Investment Promotion of China Forestry Industry Association, and organized by China National Bamboo Research Center (CNBRC), was opened in CNBRC, Hangzhou. Kong Ming, Deputy Director General of Department of Development Planning and Assets Management, SFGA, attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
This training course is the second of its kind hosted by SFGA. 9 renowned experts, including Wang Dengju, Executive Director General of Research Center for International Trade on Forest Products, SFGA and Director General of Research Institute of Forest Policy and Information, CAF, Wang Haifeng, Director of Office of Research on International Trade and Investment, Institute of International Economic Research, National Development and Research Center, Prof. Li Junqing, Beijing Forestry University, and Chen Shaozhi, Secretary of the CPC Committee of China Green Times, were invited to give lectures on hotspot international forest trade issues, including interpretation on international forestry economy and trade cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, industrial development and addressing international trade frictions and timber supply and consumption in a changing world.
Over 80 government officials, experts on international trade and entrepreneurs from SFGA, local forestry departments or bureaus and forestry research institutes attended the training. (Wu Zhizhuang, China National Bamboo Research Center)
