CUI Lijuan, Vice President of CAF, assists the president in international cooperation as well as forest management and protection, takes charge of Department of International Cooperation, Department of Resource and Asset Management, Research Institute of Resource Insect and China Eucalypt Research and Development Centre, associates with Xixia County’s Science and Technology Forest Revitalization Demonstration Base, Key Laboratory of Simulation and Control for Dabie Mountains Population Ecology, Wangqing County’s Experimental Demonstration Base and Key Laboratory of Ecological Restoration in Hilly Area; takes charge of the liaison work with Jilin Province and Yunnan Province governments.

CUI also serves as the director of the Wetland Research Center of National Forestry and Grassland Administration (NFGA), member of the National Wetland Science Committee, standing member of the sixth Science and Technology Committee of NFGA, vice president of China Science Writers Association, chief science communication expert of National Wetland Discipline, director of Beijing Wetland Center, director of Beijing Key Laboratory of Wetland Ecological Function and Restoration, deputy editor of Wetlands (An America Journal), the first national specially invited natural resources inspector.

CUI has been engaged in the research of wetland ecological process and mechanism, wetland conservation and restoration methods, wetland ecosystem service evaluation and wetland management policy. She successively won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Award, the second prize of the Science Research Famous Achievement Award of the Ministry of Education (ranking second), the China Forestry Youth Science and Technology Award, the Major Scientific and Technological Achievement Award of CAF, the gold award of the Excellent Science Composition Award of China Science Writers Association, the Liang Xi Science Popularization Award, etc. She has been published more than 300 papers, including more than 50 SCI papers, more than 10 books, more than 20 authorized patents and 12 national and local standards.

CUI also won the National Advanced Individual with Outstanding Contributions to Ecological Construction, and was selected into the first batch of Leading Talents for Scientific and Technological Innovation under the "Ten Thousand People Plan" of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the national candidate for the "Ten Million Talent Project" of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the "Young and Middle-Aged Leading Talents for Scientific and Technological Innovation" of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the "Leading Talent Training Project in Beijing". CUI also served as a member of the Science and Technology Committee, leader of the working group and specially invited expert of the Ramsar Convention for three times .
