  • 19831989 (Assistant Engineer, Assistant Professor): joining the major project of the Ministry of Forestry, namely, “Research on Cultivation Techniques of Fast-growth and High-yield of the Main Tropical Planting Tree Species in Hainan Island”, engaging in research on high-yield cultivation techniques of pine and eucalyptus.
  • 19851992 (Assistant Engineer, Assistant Professor): joining the cooperative project between China and Australia, namely, “Introduction and Cultivation Experiments for Australian Broad-leaved Tree Species”(Project No. 8457 and 8848), engaging in the research of eucalyptus improvement.
  • 19911995 (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor): joining the research of the special subject of state science and technology key project in the eighth-five year plan, namely, “The Selection and Breeding of New varieties for Eucalyptus Paper Pulpwood”, mainly engaging in the researches of eucalyptus improvement and cultivation techniques.

Main Achievements:  The achievement of “Research on Introduction and Cultivation of Eucalyptus Tree Species”as the third completed person respectively won the second-class award of Prize for Progress in Science and Technology Progress for the Ministry of Forestry in 1995 and the state in 1996; Acquiring 4 achievements as the first completed person and 5 achievements as the principal person in scientific and technological research; Formulating a forestry-industrial standard and a Guangdong local standard as the first completed person; Winning 5 items for the national invention patent as the principal person; publishing more than 60 technical papers and participating the editing of 5 monographs; Cultivating or co-cultivating 10 post-graduate master students and doctoral students.
