From 14^th to 15^th Nov, the Malaysian delegation of Sarawak Timber Association visited China Eucalypt Research Center. Mr. Chen Shaoxiong, Deputy Director General and research fellow of China Eucalypt Research Center hosted a discussion between the delegation and researchers.

Mr. Chen Shaoxiong briefed China’s eucalypt industry development and research progress in China Eucalypt Research Center. The representative of Sarawak Timber Association introduced forestry in Negeri Sarawak, and expected to cooperate in research with China Eucalypt Research Center within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The delegation visited the South China Experimental Nursery, the State-owned Leizhou Forestry Bureau and Zhanjiang Chenming Co., Ltd.

Mr. Luo Jianzhong, research fellow, Dr. Roger Arnold, special expert, and researchers from China Eucalypt Research Center, attended the activities.

Founded in 1971, Sarawak Timber Association has 390 member corporations in afforestation, forest products and timber trade, and is an influential association in forestry. (China Eucalypt Research Center)
