On September 20, Researcher Fu Maoyi of Research Institute of Subtropical Forestry CAF made an academic report to the members of foreign aid training class in International Centre For Bamboo and Rattan. More than 40 trainees from 10 countries and staff of the ICBR and Fuyang’s Agriculture and Forestry Bureau listened to the report.

Researcher Fu introduced the types of Chinese bamboos, the cultivation and planting of bamboo forest, processing of bamboo and standards of bamboo products. He also warned the audience of the problems and risks in bamboo industry and trade and gave some useful advice.

In the Q&A session, the listeners enthusiastically raised a number of questions concerning the cultivation of bamboo forest, etc.

Assistant Fang Xuezhi, Director of Technology Department Wu Tonggui and other researchers from Research Institute of Subtropical Forestry attended the seminar.
