From September 26 to 29, the 13th International Phytotechnologies Conference was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Assistant Researcher Wang Shufeng and Doctor Shi Xiang from Research Institute of Subtropical Forestry CAF attended the conference.

On behalf of the Ecological Trees Group, Wang Shufeng made an academic report “Variations in responses to Pb，Cd and the possible tolerance mechanisms in Salix integra”.

After the conference, experts from Research Institute of Subtropical Forestry exchanged ideas with phytoremediation experts from the US and Canada about willow phytoremediation technologies. Related study of the report has been published or accepted by journals like Environmental Science and Pollution Research, International Journal of Phytoremediation, and Frontiers in Plant Science, etc.

315 experts from over 30 countries and regions of America, Europe, Asia and Africa attended the conference.
