From June 14 to 18, on invitation from the Forestry Ecological Engineering Team of International Cooperation and Innovation, foreign expert, full professor of Clemson University, Doctor Wang Goofing came to China to carry out his works.

In the morning of June 15, Professor Wang attended team seminar. The team summarized the works done and achievements of the last year, analyzed current problems and came up with solutions, and planned for the key jobs in the next year. And members of the team gave guidelines to two graduates’ thesis topic and experimental design.

In the afternoon, Professor Wang made his academic report “Fundamentals of Experimental Design”, telling in detail the types, basic elements and principles in ecological and forestry experiment design, and analyzed common mistakes. Then he discussed some specific cases of experiment designing. More than 30 young researchers and graduate students from Research Institute of Subtropical Forest and Zhejiang A&F University listened to the report.

On June 16 to 17, Professor Wang went to experimental spots in Ningbo, Zhejiang, gave scientific guidelines to the 2016 experiment plans, and useful advice concerning the test arrangements.
