Closing Ceremony of 2016 Training Course on Bamboo Industry Development for ITTO Member Countries Held at CBRC

Sponsored by Ministry of Commerce of China and organized by CBRC, “2016 Training Course on Bamboo Industry Development for ITTO Member Countries” completed eight-week lectures and field trips and concluded at CBRC headquarters. Mr. Wu Zhimin, Executive Director-General of Foreign Cooperation Projects Center of State Forestry Administration (SFA), and Professor Wang Yukui, Deputy Director-General of CBRC, attended this event and delivered speeches.

Mr. Wu firmly acknowledged CBRC’s efforts in international training and cooperation. He emphasized on the positive impact of bamboo on eco-civilization construction as well as social, economic and ecological development, and provided some valuable advice for the training program. He hoped the participants could benefit from what they learned in China and wished the training program of CBRC a complete success. Professor Wang congratulated everybody on the successful conclusion of this training course. He sent good wishes to all the participants and expected joint effort to promote the sustainable development of global forestry. As a participant representative, Mr. Zewdu Yilma of Environment and Forestry Research Center of Ethiopia gave a speech. He thanked the Chinese government and CBRC for providing such a training platform so that they could have this opportunity to study in China. He also appreciated all participants’ cooperation and understanding to ensure the successful completion of this training project.

The closing ceremony was facilitated by Professor Ding Xingcui, Director of International Cooperation Division of CBRC. 32 participants from 8 countries including Brazil, Panama, Kenya, Ethiopia, Congo, Laos, India and Timor-Leste attended this event.
