After 8 weeks of busy learning and field surveys, the 2016 Seminar of ITTO Bamboo Industry Development, sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by State Forestry Administration met its graduation ceremony. Wu Zhimin, Deputy Director of SFA’s International Cooperative Program Center, and Wang Yukui, Party Committee Secretary, presented at the ceremony and gave speeches.

Director Wu Zhimin appraised the works of the Bamboo Center on foreign aid trainings and international cooperations, and gave advices to the training class briefed as absorption, import, digest and innovation. He emphasized the importance of bamboo industry in building ecological civilization and promoting sustainable development in society, economy and ecology. Researcher Wang Yukui congratulated the students on their graduation, and expressed his hope to acquire sustainable development of the bamboo industry and forestry through strengthening bilateral and multi-lateral cooperations. Mr. Zewdu Yilma from Ethiopian Environment and Forestry Research Center spoke as student representative. He thanked the training courses that Chinese government and the Bamboo Center offered, which allowed them to learn their courses in China. He also appreciated the harmonious atmosphere among the attendants.

The ceremony was hosted by Ding Xingcui, Director of Department of International Cooperation and Technology. 32 attendants from 8 countries (Brazil, Panama, Kenya, Ethiopia, Congo(Kinshasa), Laos, India and East Timor) and other members of Department of International Cooperation and Technology attended the ceremony.
