On the morning of November 27^th, Professor Saverio Fiore of Italian Academy of Sciences, the chairman of International Clay Society, was invited to China National Bamboo Research Center for academic exchange. Zhong Zheke, the deputy director of CNBRC gave a warm welcome and hosted the symposium.

At the symposium, Mr. Zhong introduced the status quo of research on bamboo resources in China, the information of CNBRC scientific research and the achievements of research on soil environment. Prof. Fiore gave an academic report entitled “Role of Bacteria on Clay Minerals”. He introduced the team progress of research on clay minerals and edaphon, communicated with researchers of CNBRC and discussed the plans of future cooperation, laying the foundation for promoting international cooperation of research projects and talent exchange in this field.
