On December 16th, Mr. Vladimir Nikitin, the vice president of Moscow State Forest University, Ms. Marina Mukovnina, the head of International Cooperation Department, MSFU, together with Mr. Henry Torriente, the deputy director of Cuban Institute of Agriculture and Forestry visited Chinese Academy of Forestry for exchange.
Guests of MSFU hoped to discuss further bilateral cooperation with us via this visit, especially in forestry remote sensing.
We have also signed a memorandum of understanding about bilateral cooperation with Cuban Institute of Agriculture and Forestry, which aims to strengthen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in bamboo planting and utilization, idioplasmatic resources and biological technologies of tropical tree species. Mr. Henry’s visit was to continue carrying out the content of the MOU. Both sides have agreed on active exploration of more possible fund channels by virtue of the current training platform of foreign aid so as to lay the foundation for further cooperation in projects.
After the meeting, guests visited Research Institute of Forest Resource Information Techniques, CAF, national key laboratories of forest genetics and breeding, and Center for Quality Supervision and Testing of Wood, RIWI.
