Dr.Wenxin Wang, chief scientist of Science Foundation Ireland and tenured professor in the National University of Ireland (Galway) called on Research Institute of Chemical Industry of Forest Products (RICIFP) from November the 23rd to December the 4th 2013. Dr.Wang gave a talk on “Controlled Multivinyl Polymerisation′ and presented the latest development in the research of “Network of Excellence for Functional Biomaterials (NFB)” during his stay.

Extensive technical discussions were held on the functional study of superbranched polymers biomass materials such as rosin polyester. Furthermore, the R&D in biological intelligent functional material and its application in medicine especially in skin wound repair have been discussed with the researchers. Dr.Wenxin Wang also toured RICIFP’s pilot test plant for industrialization in Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park and National Engineering &Technology Research Center of Forest Chemical Industry in addition to Nanjing Longyuan Natural Polyphenol Synthesis Factory.
