IUFRO President Professor Niels Elers Koch, who also holds the position of Director General of Forest & Landscape Denmark (a national center at the University of Copenhagen) visited and met with CAF’s Vice-president LIU Shirong in Beijing on August 8th, 2013. Professor Kock briefed the hosts the preparation work underway for IUFRO World Congress 2014 that is scheduled in October 2014 in Salt Lake City U.S.A.. Additionally, he made the hosts acquaint with IUFRO’s objective, mission, development strategy and organizational structure.

Vice President LIU Shirong introduced the nominees that CAF is ready to submit to IUFRO the candidates for IUFRO Awards and asked the nominees to present themselves about their outstanding and excellent research achievements. CAF’s director for International Cooperation Professor LU Wenming reported the preparation works of 9 academic sessions that have either been facilitated or co-sponsored by CAF’s specialists.

Professor Niels Elers Koch has been invited as the CAF’s visiting research fellow.
