Professor WANG Siqun, tenured professor from University of Tennessee and visiting research fellow of CAF paid the academic visit to Research Institute of Wood Industry on May 7th 2013. Professor WANG elaborated his research on “Nano-mechanics and its applications in cellulose materials”. He lectured on the fundamental theories and latest research progress, summarized the present research development and future trend. In-depth discussion with the researchers has been held on mechanical performance testing, the relations between the material property and the ambient temperature and relative humility.

Professor WANG has long been devoted his research to the wood-based composite material, bio-composites and Nano-composites material and the mechanics testing.  Especially, WANG has taken the forerunner position in the testing measures on wood-based materials in the world.
